FAQ

Q:

Is there an ideal amount of bone that is desired between the MM instrument tip and floor of the sinus when I begin the sinus elevation?

A:

This image illustrates the bone height, the upper jaw sinus position and the Schneider sinus membrane. You need a x-rays taken to verify bone height and width, keeping in mind that it’s possible to have the site preparation, the sinus fracture and the Schneider membrane moving upwards with the subsequent implant insertion only if you have a 3 mm height.

Q:

Do you recommend beginning the sinus lift with instrument 100 and progressing to 300?

A:

When the site is ready to house the implant you should fracture the maxillary sinus moving upward to the necessary level. For the sinus fracture never use 100 (too thin and risky for the Schneider membrane) but use 200 or 230 or 300.

Q:

Can I use the Magnetic Mallet in the lateral region of mandible?

A:

Yes, you can, when the patient has a soft bone. First you have to use a piezo equipment or mechanical bur for the cutting of the cortical layer, after you can use Magnetic Mallet in the spongiosa.

Q:

Can I use the Magnetic Mallet for wisdom teeth extraction?

A:

Yes, you can, in the spongiosa area using the special extractors designed for this purpose.

Q:

Once the floor of the sinus is begun to be elevated and you are using the MM tip to push the bone graft into the sinus, should the unit be set at 1?

A:

Implant site preparation. Using osteotomes in sequence (100-200-230 and so on) you should stop before the maxillary sinus.

Q:

Is it beneficial to use 230 between tips 200 and 300?

A:

The biologic material to be inserted has to be manually pulled inside through any cylindrical inserter.

Q:

Can I use the Magnetic Mallet in the 10 mm wide part of the maxillary ridge?

A:

Yes, you can, but you have to use it step by step and very slowly, in the force nr. 2.

Q:

Can I use the Magnetic Mallet in the second molar region of the maxilla?

A:

Yes, you can, using the bended version of the instruments.
